Save the Dates

You’re engaged!! Congratulations!!! I remember being so excited the moment we got engaged I immediately jumped into wedding planning. I specifically remember getting the side-eye from my fiancé (now husband) that I was getting ahead of myself (only to find out the venue was already booked a year and half out from the month we wanted).

So much planning comes super early in the wedding process - Save the Dates are no exception!

What are Save the Dates?

Save the Dates are announcements of your engagement (more formally than your Instagram picture and Facebook status) and, more importantly, giving your guests notice of your wedding date so that they can put it in their calendar for attending.

When do I order Save the Dates?

Save the Dates should be ordered 10 to 12 months prior to your wedding date.

When do I send Save the Dates?

You should send your Save the Dates 8 to 9 months prior to your wedding date.

Getting creative with Save the Dates

Most Save the Dates include some kind of photography from your engagement session. It’s so much fun getting creative with how to incorporate details about you and your engagement into your Save the Date design. Whether you have an engagement session photo(s) you want to use or not, the design of your Save the Date doesn’t have to be “blah” - just check out some Save the Dates I’ve done below!
